As hoped, the glue filled in the recessed areas nicely. This leaves less room for the liquid to get under the cap and push it out. The square edge inside at the edge of the recess was tricky to get onto the cap. It also scraped the glue so it pile up in the recess. The area where the corner is over the twin wall was kinda inconsistent, though. Handling after the glue is in place may also shift it and leave voids.
Next experiments:
- Bevel the edge of the recess
- Try 60 degree bevel at the first lead in
- Try one long taper instead of a stepped recess
- Try each of the above at .030 and .015 recess depth
